Our cosy Dansistova (Dancing room) is full of stories and history. Countless dances have been danced in this room, watched over by William Heinesen’s iconic picture “The Nightmares”. The charming dancing room was purpose built for Faroese chain dance and during the winter months, local children use the space to learn this ancient tradition together with their adults.

Dansistovan is, however, also well suited for many other types of activities. At one end of the room there is a large glass wall with an optional black-out curtain which faces the Lobby. When the curtain is drawn, the room feels intimate, warm, dark and cosy, but when you open it, you immediately get a sensation of light, life, openness and a connection to the Nordic House’s dynamic architecture.
